I bought the 200150 boost converter as an emergency backup power supply on our sailboat in case any of our other chargers or power supplies died while we were in remote locations. Unfortunately that happened this week, so I’m trying to get it to work and not having success.

I need to boost 12v to 48-56v and the device draws a max of 96w. I have set the Drok to 56.0v and experimented with setting 2-15amp, all with the same result: when I plug my device in it starts to power up, but as soon as it’s drawing power (0.1a/5w), voltage drops, the “cc” light turns on momentarily, the device turns back off, and output voltage returns to 56v

I also tried setting the input voltage protection function to u48.0 (minimum the device requires), but when I plug the device the voltage immediately drops to 32v and remains there with the “cc” light on.

Am I doing something wrong? Is my device defective?

    Hello,

To boost voltage from 12v to 56v, there is a large voltage difference, so it will incurre more power dissipation. How much power your input source can offer?

    Best regards,

    DROK
