    Greetings,

I am a controls engineer by trade. I find your product (especially the models with communication) are, or shall I say COULD be very useful indeed in the industrial world. The only thing missing is an RS-485 option board to go with the models that support Modbus communication.Bluetooth and USB are simply not supported in industrial controls. RS-485 is (as is Ethernet or Modbus/TCP). It would be a compliment to your line of power supplies if this could be developed.

As a side note, even knowing the communications wiring and signals between the power supply and existing USB and bluetooth boards would be a great help so we can at least spec and add the appropriate converter. Would at least this much information be available from your company for those of us whos only option is RS-485?

Well I got my RS-485 board. The wire is too big diameter to go through the holes for them on the power board. I After about an hour I got the wires soldered just on the solder pads on the power supply. This would NOT be an “industrial solution”. Even to get this much I had to cut ~5 strands off the wire. I guess based on this, maybe an RS-485 with at least the TTL connection wire diameter to fit through the solder pad holes on the power supply board would still be a nice option.

This is a shame as your product is otherwise terrific so far.

Just so you know, this is on a DPH3205. Also after all I went through to solder it, Id pay at least $20 more for the same unit that all I had to do is plug the comm board in like my DPS5005 with USB or bluetooth (neither of which does much good in the industrial world).

Please see the other thread I started. This power supply apparently doesn’t have communication on it. Im back to the beginning on this issue. I would be in heaven right now if I could just simply run wire from my PLC to screw terminals for RS485!

    Hello,

Would you like to offer a product link or SKU number so that we can confirm the powe supply you mean?

    Best regards.

    Hello

We think it should be #200230, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01MS3NEAE?ref=myi_title_dp

This item indeed  doesn’t have cummunication feature.

    Best regards.
