In order to power a water cooling system for a project I have been working on I needed to step my 12 volt power supply down to 4-6V and this product did this perfectly. I tried using some other voltage regulators but unfortunately those would overheat and go into shutdown protocol within a matter of seconds. This device is easily able to step down to my desired voltage and current rating without much thermal throttling. this device also has a built in current limiter which I used to that I could not accidentally fry my components. I would highly recommend this product due to its ease of set up and overall ease of use.
