I bought one of these almost a year ago, and just bought three more. I was thinking of getting some of those little round LEDs with motion sensors, but you have to buy batteries for that kind. I had trouble at first finding a spot that didn't get light, so it would go on; if there's much light at all, it won't go on. Doesn't have to be completely dark, but dark enough. The sensor is pretty good within a few feet. The stick-on tape that comes with it only works once. I bought a roll of the tape so I can change the location if I want. I used the first one in my garage, right where I open the door and reach across to the garage door opener. The device lights up instantly when I open the door, so I can see the garage door opener perfectly in the dark. It's a fairly bright light, but I don't know how many lumens. Seems brighter than an average flashlight. It does come on even in the daytime when it's overcast outside and light is coming through the garage windows. It has 3 settings; I just use "automatic," but there is also "off" and (continuous) "on." It's easy enough to pinch the clip and remove it from its plastic frame, and take it to my computer to charge it with the USB cord. Takes an hour and a half to two hours to charge. It's kind of a hassle to have to charge it, but it does last for a month or more. I bought three more to use in hallways around the house, in case the electricity goes out. The light is fairly small, and very lightweight, but the 3M Heavy Duty Mounting tape holds it securely to the wall. Love the lights! No need to rip up walls or cabinettes for wiring. Just enough light and the motion/light sensors work awesome!

Love this light. I bought several, put one each on opposite sides of my platform bed and they provide perfect illumination when I get up in the middle of the night or when my dogs was to come and go on and off the bed. Very happy with this purchase. Thank you.

Love these lights. I live in a home built in 1955 that has zero outlets in the hallway leading to the bedrooms. At night we were always feeling around in the dark for light switches so I set up a light at the beginning, middle, and end of the hall. Perfect solution to our problem!

I love that these have a magnet mount option which is what I'm using instead of screwing into the wall. I found some painted white metal strips at the store and used the tape provided with the lights to mount the lights to the wall. Since the metal mount I made is painted white and our walls are whitish, you hardly notice where the mounts are while the lights are charging elsewhere. I think it would be nice if the black plastic mount provided with the light was white instead to blend in better with the wall. Not a big deal though.

In our high traffic hallway, recharging is required after about 2-3 weeks. I love that these are charged with a USB cable and I don't have to feel guilty about replacing batteries. The charging cable that comes with the light does not connect in the light very well but my charging cables for my phones fit it perfectly.

This is a well thought out product with great design for function and modern minimalistic form. The soft white light is truly soft while still being very effective. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I've been so happy with them that I've purchased 5 total to use around the house and guests are always impressed with the idea of them. Thanks, DROK!
