Plug and play (after assembly). Works fine.

The picture shows a fully assembled unit.

But what arrived was a * KIT * not the assembled unit shown in the pictures on amazon.

For hobby work, having precise voltages or current to give your projects a chance to not let the smoke out, this is the gear! You can also use it to float charge batteries. Its great for me, I have many odd-ball power supplies, and being able to use one that puts out fairly high voltage, and good current, now I can use just it for many projects, and don't have to find "the right one" for whatever I'm mucking about with.

I have only tested up to 5A, but no issues. Simple buttons and easy to use.
