Own 3 of them leave one by the side of the bed at night and just wave my hand and I have light. My front door is metal and the magnets work great put on the inside of the door at night to light up the hallway. I also take one when traveling works great in a dark hotel room so you do not trip. Yes they are a little bright so put part of the light under tissue box or a towel works great.

Works as described, love the digital display, tells you an estimate of when batteries will be fully charged, cant go wrong with nitecore products.
