May 18, 2016 at 4:03 pmPost count: 0Hi!
The board is labelled YHD11003a, and has some missing foot prints.
What are these parts, and for what purpose?
The board could use UNDER VOLTAGE LOCKOUT, which may perhaps be those parts?
If not included, I have to add this to the board.
I need a schematic to do this. I could trace it out but I’m lazy.
Obviously turning off the TO-220 main switch transistor will not turn off the output, but at least boosting is interrupted, which will protect the power source from current overload.
A complete Enable-Disable circuit with OVER and UNDER voltage on the input would be better, but more parts would have to be added.

Thanks!
Hi chris,
Thank you for your reply.
If the input voltage lower than 7.5V, the product will stop working.
“has some missing foot prints” and we are sorry that we cannot find what is the “TO-220 main switch”.
Could you please send us an email (service at droking dot com) with some image to let us check the problem detail?
Waiting for your reply.
Best regards
chris

We have checked that there is something wrong with the datasheet.
Here is the correct version for you

Sorry for the inconvenience caused on you.
Beg your forgiveness and understanding.
Best regards

I also noticed that the “diode” on the board is another N-MOSFET, where the drain-body junction is used as a diode, perhaps not the lowest possible Vf?
Why not use a Schottky diode or, better yet, a Synchronous driver to switch the FET into conduction? This converter has very little in the way of filtering on its output, a sturdy L-C filter is needed to remove 2V p-p ripple.

After the turbine starts, the voltage on the batteries being charged by this product will increase to 28 volts as the turbine has it’s own alternator. Will applying 28 volts to the output of this product hurt it if it is set to 27 volts?
