I am confused about the display settings.

I have set the the unit for Output Voltage of 15.0 Volts and current of 6.00 amp, as I want to limit current to 6.00 amp. I have set the unit for Specific Function 1 and it powers on as it should and displays proper voltage output, but when I press OK to read current, it always reads 0.00A.

I have a shunt connected in line with the output, so I can read load current and see that I am drawing 2 amps or more but the Boost Converter display always reads 0.00A.

Am I misunderstanding how the display should read?

Correction to my earlier post. I have set the unit to specific function 0 not 1.

While waiting for reply, I will also mention that after much testing it does not appear the Boost Converter will regulate current.

I have set voltage to 13.8 volts and current to 2.00 amps and I have verified these settings multiple times. With 12 volts input, my load is drawing approximately 4.00 amps. I have also tried setting specific function 1 with various voltage and current settings, but the load current is always much higher than the setting I have stored. During all testing, the display for current always reads 0.00A when the output is on. It appears it is not reading current and therefore cannot regulate current?

    Hello Chuck Beaudette,
    Thanks for your reply.
To check the problem carefully, is it convenienct for you to take a video to show your wiring and operation? Then we can show it to our technician.
You can upload it to Youtube and share the link to our service email:

I don’t have youtube account to upload videos and have not done it before, so I sent you an email with a PDF that includes wiring diagram and pictures of my application. Since PDF is pretty much a universal document, I assume you should be able to open and view it without any issues. If not, i will attempt to create a youtube video.

As your service people suggested, I returned unit to Amazon for exchange but new unit has exact same result.

    Hi

I have the same issue. I am attempting to charge a 10s 4p lithium pack and a 12s 5p lithium pack. The drok seems to output current when the pack is connected even when the process hasent been started. The settings of the drok’s current have not effect of the output current. It seems to deliver the most it can at that voltage level. I have just blown a 5amp 50v power supply. I have 2 units brought from amazon and both seem to do the same. I am charging through a bms.

    Hello Mark,
    Thank you for writing in.
Are you taling about the same item?

May I know more details about your setting? For example, input voltage/current, which function do you choose?
It would be more helpful if you can take a short video to show your operaton.
You can send it to service#droking dot com ( please replace # with @)
    Best regards.
