    Used BillMatrix to pay my power bill late at night after my shift. Got the email confirmation and thought I was good. The next morning, I checked my bank account and saw three separate payments taken. No clue how that even happened — I only submitted once. Tried calling their customer line, but it was all automated loops. No rep, no solution. I emailed screenshots, but no response for two days. Had to put a freeze on my card just to stop more from being pulled. Anyone else deal with this kind of triple charge mess? Curious how long it took you to get your money back.

    Paid a water bill using BillMatrix through my city’s utility portal. Got one confirmation, but my account showed two identical payments within minutes. I read through billmatrix reviews while figuring out if this was a fluke or a known issue. Someone mentioned faxing a bank statement directly, so I gave that a shot. A rep finally called two days later and confirmed it was a processing error. They issued the refund that afternoon. Since then, I’ve stuck with paying by mail or directly through the utility site — too risky otherwise.
