I recently ordered the DKP6012 CC buck converter module from Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071LGTTRN

The buck converter will not output the selected voltage. Here are the settings and measurements I tried:

    Input Voltage: 15 Volts (verified)

    Output Voltages:

    Select 5.00V/1A – Select output mode – Display changes to 3.5V – Measured 3.75V

    Select 9.00V/1A – Select output mode – Display changes to 7.19V – Measured 7.74V

    Select 12.00V/1A – Select output mode – Display changes to 9.95V – Measured 10.73V

I tried different input voltages, but observed the same results. No load, just multimeter measuring DC volts.

The setting for output volts is different than the displayed output volts, which is also different from the measured volts.

This seems like a defective unit. Is there anything else I can try? I am still within my return window with Amazon.

    Thanks,

    John

I returned the unit to Amazon and got a replacement. The replacement works properly.

On the first unit, the selected voltage never matched the output voltage. That should be clear from my original post. If I select 9V output, press “OK”, and the display shows 7V, the my multimeter shows 7.5V output, how would a video make that clearer?

The new unit allows me to select 9V, press “OK”,  and it displays 9V output and also reads 9V output on my multimeter. There are several YouTube videos that show how it is supposed to work. I just got a defective unit the first time.
