I purchased this unit from your amazon store.

    https://www.amazon.com/DROK-Step-down-Converter-Regulator-Electromobile/dp/B00VUHVX6W/ref=cm_sw_em_r_dp_dc_VJ-2ybB36SZCH_tt

When using this unit to charge lithium batteries, is a blocking diode necessary at the output? Also, is a blocking diode necessary at the input in order to protect the power supply?

My application uses an additional battery protection board to charge three 18650 lithium ion batteries in series. This is part of a control console that uses the batteries as a backup therefore, your regulator board will remain connected to the batteries constantly. The regulator board will not always receive power from the power supply, as the power supply will not always be plugged in.

    Regards…
