Hello, I am interested in buying this item,
(DROK Club Car Golf Car DC Voltage reducer 36V 48V to 12V 20A Voltage Step Down Buck Converter Battery Power Supply Volt Regulator Transformer). I would like to install a fuse before and after the unit, ( A fuse on the 36v side before it goes into the unit and a fuse on the 12v side after it comes out of the unit.) What size fuses should I use? I plan to install a fuse box on the 12v side to power 2 LED headlights, a horn, and a stereo. Also is it recommended to put a on/off switch on this unit?

In general, we just add fuse on input positive pole. What is your purpose on adding fuse?
    Best regards.

Just for protection. I saw a review where someone fused both sides, but I didnt know why.
What size fuse do you recommend on the input of a 36v system

    Hello shawn burch,
    Thanks for your reply.
The fuse size is depended on input voltage and load power.
Would you pelase tell us these parameters?
    Best regards

36 volt input power. I am going to install a fuse box after the converter. All I will put on this is a set of LED fog lights, horn, 12v outlet, and maybe one day a stereo. I dont know the amps on any of these. This is the amazon link for the fuse box I will install.

    Hello shawn burch,
We can’t ensure the fuse specification if we don’t know the output current.
In addition, the fuse box you mention can hold maximum of 30 Amp per circuit & 100 Amp per panel, which can’t play a part of proection on our item
    Best regards.
