    Hi,

I need to feed an Odroid XU4 with a 5V/2A powersource or a 5V/4.8A one. Odroid needs 5V/4A but during the boot process current consumption goes up and the power bank goes down to near 4.2V.

Will any of the Voltage Regulators work for this case? I understand that devices like this one will keep the output 5V but, will the output current be lower than the input one?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am a software developer in need to solve a school robotics project so I do not have much knowledge about electrics.

    Hi Johann,
    Thank you for writing in.
As your description, the maximum output current capability of the power bank is not enough to support your application and it is hard to use boost and buck module to improve it.
It is recommended that you can try to use a power bank with continuous 3A current output.
    Hope this can help you.
    Best regards
