I’m currently working on a psychology research paper about the impact of social media on adolescent self-esteem. The topic itself is interesting, but transforming multiple research articles into one coherent argument feels overwhelming. I understand the theories and findings individually, yet I struggle to synthesize them into a strong analytical discussion. Sometimes my draft sounds more like a summary of studies rather than a critical evaluation. How do you usually move from describing research to actually analyzing it?

I’ve been buried in articles and trying to pull together a clear analysis for my psych paper, but I kept second-guessing whether parts of my draft felt “too smooth” or machine-like when I reread them. At one point I even wondered if the style itself might look AI-generated to someone else, so I checked out https://gptzeroaidetector.com/ to see how my writing would score, and at first I wasn’t sure what to expect since I’d never used an AI-detection tool before. After pasting a few paragraphs in and running the analysis, I felt a lot more confident about which sections looked genuinely human and where I could add more critique rather than description. It actually helped me tighten up my arguments and feel less anxious about the integrity of my voice in the paper.
