Hello,

I have the VAC9010H and I’m using it for measuring load and current use on a 12v battery.

Is it mandatory to use the Positive cable for the sensor?

Can’t it tell DC current is flowing either way?  Couldn’t I just reverse the direction of the sensor in case I want to use the negative battery  / load cable instead?

You can put any cable through current sensor. If current follows the direction of arrow on sensor，it is discharging status, capacity will decrease. Otherwise，capacity will increase.
