User-friendly AC Volt Amp Power Multifunctional Meter

Our AC 20A and 100A quadruple display multifunctional meter have received rave reviews from the majority of electronic DIY lovers because of easing to connect and accurate measurement. Meanwhile, we have received feedback which is hard to press and the color of display is too deep. And some suggestions like backlight and reset use the same button. We colligated the feedbacks and suggestions, we launch a newest AC power tester. Let’s have a look what we should improve.

Firstly, this meter is bigger than quadruple display multifunctional meter. We adopted STN Full viewing LCD screen so that we can see the data change very clear and convenient from any angle.

200070-1

Certainly, the bigger screen, the bigger digital displayed. It has only three items of data to show and we can switch power and current by short pressing function button. It has advantage which it just reset the present interface instead of cleaning all the data.

There are two buttons which stand for function and backlight so that it is easier to see and operate than 4 displays tester.

200070-2

Measurement accuracy is most important for a meter. We do a simple test by 10A meter to show how about its measurement accuracy.

Material:  220V 100W bulb and 220V 200W bulb

200070-3

200070-4

200070-5

200070-6

According to the test, we can see the error of voltage and power is very small. Good Measurement accuracy can meet the need of measuring and monitoring electric equipments below 220V 2200W or below 110V 1100W.

Someone feedbacked inexact data or cannot be measured. Firstly, you must choose appropriate ranges. Some customers think the larger range can face various of situations. However measurement accuracy can’t work well. For example, it must reflect inexact data or cannot be measured because you use 100A meter to test 5A current.

As we all know, P(power)=U*I. But many people don’t know P(active power)=U*I*cosφ, cosφ stands for power factor, among 0~1.This meter is very suitable for pure resistive load, such as bulb, heating wire, etc. As their power factor are close 1,P is nearly equal to U*I when we test pure resistive load. We need to use power factor when testing inductive or capacitive load(such as refrigerator, washing machine, computer, TV set, etc),P<U*I. Every family has different power factor, we suggest you to search on Google for detailed power factor so that you can measure data you need.

    Hello,
    – Can you send a manual for this multifonctional meter (B01LXA5OXC) ?
    – Is there the energy meter as other models (B015MTGZ4S…) or just the 3 values Volt/Amp/Power ?
    – What is the minimum power (in W) to be detected by this product ?
    thank you.

      Hello Manu,
      Thank you for writing in.
Here are simple instructions for item(B01LXA5OXC) and item(B015MTGZ4S)
      B01LXA5OXC
      B015MTGZ4S
The item(B01LXA5OXC) can just measure Volt/Amp/Power.
The Power Range of item(B01LXA5OXC)is 0~2.2kW, that of item(B015MTGZ4S) is 0~4.5kW.
      Hope this can help you.
      Best regards.

        Thank you for your reply
You wrote that there is no energy measure in B01LXA5OXC but in instructions there is many times appear.
“-Electrical parameter measurement function (voltage, current, active power, energy)”
“2. Energy: test range: 0~9999kWh Within 10KWh, the display format is 0~9999Wh; 10kWh and above, the display format is 10~9999kWh; Over 9999kWh, display 0.”
and the method to reset energy.

Maybe it’s an error cause of copy/paste with others items so what does the parameter button ?

Is it avaible on Amazon France (10A model) ?

        Thanks

Drok, what about putting an hour meter for generator run time in the display ?
Also perhaps a fuel flow run time funtion would be great.

Working on several generator control systems. Would like,to see voltage, current, frequency in one multimeter unit. Hour meter addition would be good too. Excellent product and price.

I have purchased two of your 200071 meters.  I need to know what the amperage draw of this unit, so I can add a fuse to the power line feeding it.

    • Drok March 20, 2018 at 10:11 am - Reply

      Hello George Barsi,
Is the fuse for protecting meter or your load?
      Best regards.

        To protect the meter.

One other question what is the largest gauge wire that the terminals on the unit will accept?

        • Drok March 27, 2018 at 6:39 am - Reply

          Dear George Barsi,
Since the measurement range of 200071 is 100A, the maximum current it can accept is 100A.
We are sorry we don’t test wire gauge before, so we are not sure the largest gauge wire.Hope you can understand.
          Best regards.

Isn’t the current measured using the Current Transformer?

I would think that the device would only be drawing enough current to power the device and measure voltage (other devices I have looked at are usually fused at 1A or 2A).  If I am off base please let me know, especially since the correct wiring for 120v 100A is 0 gauge, which clearly would never fit in the terminals of the device.

          • Drok March 29, 2018 at 9:19 am

            Hello,
We just have consulted our technicians. They said it doesn’t need to add fuse to protect meter. You don’t really have to do that.
In addition, can you use smaller wire gage?
            Best regards.
