I am needing a 12V to 5V DC converter to power a radio board that has a 0.4 – 0.6 A current draw. This converter (item model# 180074) says it has a working current of 5A and a max of 7A, will it be able to power my radio or must it require a load that can handle higher current?

Please note that all the switching power supply maybe have slight interference when power the radio board.
