    1) is output voltage independent of input voltage? in other words, will the output voltage remain the same if I change the input voltage?

    2) I want to use this to charge a battery with a generator. is there a way to prevent the flow of electricity backwards through the device or do I need a diode?

    About your first question, the output voltage can remain the same when you change the input voltage.
    As for the second question, we are sorry this item can’t be use to charge battery.
    Because it can’t offer constant current. Hope you can understand.
