I’m currently working on a DIY roulette wheel light project and was looking around for visual references to make the effect feel closer to a real casino setup. I found some useful inspiration here: https://somagyarkaszinok.com/ingyen-porgetes-casino/ , especially for the overall roulette-style atmosphere and the kind of animated light movement I want to recreate.

The main idea is to build a circular LED ring around the wheel and simulate that smooth chasing light effect that follows the spin, almost like the glowing motion you see around casino roulette tables. After looking at those examples, my main question is about the electronics side of the build. I’m not fully sure which DROK PWM controller would be the best choice to achieve smooth speed transitions and avoid flickering when changing from a slow ambient rotation to a faster spin effect.

I’d really like the light movement to feel realistic and fluid, so I’m wondering whether a standard PWM dimmer is enough for this roulette effect, or if a signal generator module would make the motion look more natural. Since DROK has several PWM and LED control boards, I’d appreciate any advice on which module would work best for this type of roulette wheel lighting project.
