I bought this one, I’m not sure which model it is, but it’s basically a 5V 3A regulator used to power the GPS module and VIOFO A119. First time we tried it everything was great, but after taking the camera out for an hour and putting it back the camera would start and stop immediately after the VIOFO logo.
I thought for a while it was going to be the camera itself, but I tried it with other power supplies (Apple’s mains to 5V 1A brick, Samsung mains to 5V, and VIOFO’s 12V to 5V cigarette lighter adapter) and the camera worked flawlessly with all of them.
I’ve found that if I start the camera with a different power source (e.g., a phone charger or 12V to 5V) then the DROK power supply will work.
All I can think that’s happening is the DROK power supply is failing to provide enough current for it. What do you think is happening? What can I do to fix it?

I purchased the Viofo A119 from Spytec, via Amazon. Here’s the link to the one I purchased.
https://www.amazon.com/SpyTec-A119-Logger-1440p-Camera/dp/B01HN0HBFG
It includes the GPS unit and I’m using the cigarette adapter that came with the A119.
I updated the firmware to v1.1 and am using a 64GB SD card.
Thank you.
