    I am looking to step the 74 VDC plugs in a freight locomotive down to 12 VDC to power a phone charger and / or a 12 volt coffee pot for those days we are stopped for hours. Any help would be appreciated. They do sell converters for the locomotive plugs, but they are costly. I would rather build one myself.
