I bought two of these converters, to boost 13.8vdc up to 28vdc at 10A peak to run a piece of radio equipment in my ham radio station. I cannot seem to get the two units to share the current, and I see the voltage under load dropping to about 17v. My 13.8v input is solid and capable of over 20A. I believe I have the current adjustments maxed on both converters, and the output voltage of each has been adjusted to the same (within about 0.1v).
Can you give me some tips on how to make these units share the current load?
Also, I notice a significant amount of EMI generated when the converters are running and loaded- do you have some advice on how best to filter them to reduce this to a low level? My ham station receivers pick up the noise quite a bit.
Thanks very much!Hello Dave Hallidy,
Thank you for writing in.
According to your description, the input power in your application is 13.8V*20A=276W and the output power is 28V*10A=280W.
The output power is higher than the input power which caused the modules cannot output enough current for your need.
Could you please try to use an other power supply with larger power and the output current of each unit should be adjusted to 5.5A to see if they can work for your need?
Hope this can help you.
