    Hi!
I am an electrical engineering student working on a design project that includes a battery powered supply to a load, in which the load resistance (and thus load current) varies.
In some situations, the supply is connected to a load consisting of LED lights, in other situations the load is made up of incandescent lights. As incandescent lights draw significantly more current than LEDs, the idea is to use this voltage regulator to output a steady 12v regardless of the Load and still be able to tolerate a range of load currents ranging from 50mA to 15A.

This regulator (link in the “website” link) is rated for 20A and the specs listed on amazon say that the output is 20A. I and my project group would like some clarification on this regulator’s function:
by being rated at 20A, will it consistently output 20A, or is 20A the maximum output rating on the voltage regulator?
Also, is there any information regarding the minimum current this regulator will handle (considering the load could be as low as 50mA)?

    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
The supplies ability of the module is 20A maxium, it is not rated but adaptive that depends on the requirements of your load. the voltage regulator can be able to tolerate the currents ranging from 50mA to 15A.
Any other question, feel free to contact us.
    Best regards
