    hello,

I recently purchased “DROK Numerical Control Voltage Regulator Buck Boost Converter, DC 10-40V to 0-38V 6A 240W Constant Voltage Current Step Up Step Down Transformer”

I want to use it to convert a pc psu to a variable bench top style. what I’m wondering though is what i can safely input into the device. do i have to keep the input between 10-40V? also does the input amperage matter?

it’s my understanding that the input voltage DOES matter but for instance if i connect the 12v 20a line it should be fine because it won’t try to draw more than 6 amps of current.

please correct me if im wrong.

    thanks!
    Joey

    Hello Joe,
    Thank you for writing in.
The input voltage range of this module is DC 10-40V so you must keep the input within DC 10-40V.
The max. input current of this module is 8A.
    Hope this can help you.
    Best regards
