Small rant. I have tried a few of the big names and they all do the same thing. You get a bit of momentum going and then the tone shifts, or you get a reply that reads like a corporate memo, or the message just stops. Not even a proper refusal, just this weird flat nothing. I get why they do it, but it makes the whole thing pointless for me. What I want is to be able to decide for myself how far a scene goes instead of hitting a wall somebody else built. Does that still exist anywhere, or has everyone gone the same way?
