    I notice 5 empty through holes next  to the LCD device.

    Can these be used for communication to this regulator?  If yes, how?

    Surely the holes in the 200359 are for communication but you explained they are not for the user environment. Can you explain how they are used and what system/language the firmware on the 8051 Microcontroller is written in? Can they be accessed for displaying or debugging?
