I just received my 5 wire Drok Mini 4.5-30V/10A Panel meter…. after connecting the red & black wires (2 red 2 black) the thing started to smoke…

There seems to be a small regulator (which gets very hot…) close to the terminals for the thin red/black wires …

I just wonder what I did wrong…? Should I dare order a new one?

    Is it worth replacing…?

    Hello Urban HELLNER,
We are sorry to heat that. Firstly, would you please send us ASIN number or product link so that we can confirm the item you bought?
And to check what wrong is, is it convenient for you to take some pictures to let us check the wiring? And what is your operation parameters? For example, input voltage/current.
If you don’t know how upload pictures here, please try to send them to service@droking.com.
We will try our best to help with you.
    Best regards.

    Hi Again

    As for ASIN_No° ?? X0007V5T79 ? Anyway, this is what I bought:

    https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B00H28X140/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Voltage applied = 12 Volts (first to the thick Red/black wires and then to Red/Black thin wires + to red – to black ;-). Yellow not used yet… when you sense the smell of burning electronics you disconnect. I will send you two photos with

    Hi Urban HELLNER,
    Thanks for your reply.
We have received your pictures, but it is not about the wiring.
It’s hard for us to find out what problem is. Would you please kindly let us know more details about your wiring?
And you mention you don’t use yellow wire, there should be something wrong.
    Best regards.
