    Hello,

    I purchased the ‘Ultra Small Mini DC Power Module DC 3V to 5V 1A USB Battery Converter Step Up Module’ and am not getting the 1A output current that I am supposed to be getting. The input source is providing 6V 1A which I thought would be sufficient to output around 1A of current. I’m not sure why I am seeing this result? Does this have to do with the input voltage being too high or could the module be broken?

    Hello George Waters,
    Thank you for writing in.
    We have checked this product that it is a step up voltage converter, which the input voltage should be lower than the output voltage.
    The input voltage range of this product is DC 1-5V and the output voltage range is DC 5.1-5.2V.
    As your description, the input source of your input is 6V, which is beyond the input voltage range (DC1-5V) and it maybe cause damage to the product.
    Could you please try to use other input source which is within DC 1-5V to see if the product work or not?

    Hello,

    I have gotten the input voltage down below 5V (4.7V) and am still experiencing the same problem. I purchased another step up converter because I thought perhaps I had damaged the original one I purchased. But the new one is outputting the exact same current of around 560mA when the input current is around 1A. Any idea why this could be happening? Thanks.

    Thank you for writing in.
    As your description, the input current is a little bit small.
    Could you please try to use another power supply with more that 3A output current to see if the module work normally?
