I bought as Drok temp meter with a fixed length of wire on the probe. Can I cut and splice this probe wire to extend it’s length?

Hi, thanks for your business. Could you tell us the product link or your order number? and how long you want to extend the length? Looking forward to your reply.
    Thanks.

DROK® 0.36″ LED Digital Thermometer -67°F to +257°F Fahrenheit Temperature Meter Gauge DC 12V 24V 18B20 Probe 1 Meter Sensor Cable for Car Fridge Refrigerator Aquarium (Red)

I need to snake it through all the stuff packed under the dash of an FJ Cruiser, so I would guess it needs to be a couple feet longer.

I don’t think I’ll need anywhere near that long a lead. Thanks

I bought the following product. It did not come with directions. I have read the above questions and answers.

DROK® 0.36″ LED Digital Thermometer -67°F to +257°F Fahrenheit Temperature Meter Gauge DC 12V 24V 18B20 Probe 1 Meter Sensor Cable for Car Fridge Refrigerator Aquarium (green)

What kind of wire does it have? I will need to extend it.

Where should the probe be located for best performance?

    Another question from Catherine-above:

How is it wired in the car for power? I have a 2009 Hyundai Elantra.

(I know these are “girl” questions!)

    hi, Catherine

this item power by DC 7-30V voltage.
so you just need connect to your car 12V or 24V battery.

    Red: Postive +
    Black: Negative –

then it will work. if you want to monitor the car temp. it is better that avoid the sunshine, the car heating parts, install at a inconspicuous location.

    thanks
