How is the estimates time calculated on these devices? It’s wildly incorrect. For example, I have a 30ah battery, that’s set on the device as 30ah. With a 1A discharge, that should show a estimate time of 30hours, but instead it shows something totally different, perhaps about 1/10th of the correct time remaining. Is there something I’m not understanding about the time remaining shown?

Here’s a photo of the time remaining. How is this calculated and how do I correct this?

    Hello Mmlo,

The estimated time can’t be as standard reference, the data will vary base on the charging/discharging current.

    Best regards.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Hi there, in this case the discharge current is mostly constant. Yet the time remaining is completely wrong (by over 10x).

In the photo I posted above, what is the 6:29:44 referring to? Remaining time? How is this calculated?

    Hello,

The estimated time can’t be as standard reference, it keep varing.

I’m aware and understand that it varies. I’m asking what it signifies. What’s the time? For a 30ah battery that never draws more than 1.5amps maximum, how can the time remaining be so low!?

Please explain how this function is calculated.

I think there’s a mistake in the code, because if I were to change the amp hour rating of the battery from 30AH to 300AH, the time remaining will correctly match the current draw. Is there a mistake in the firmware code?
