    Hello:

    I have a 13VDC solar system. I need to get 5.5 Amps from it.

    Due to the wire length and a small diameter wire, I am only getting 9.4 volts at the load. I need a minimum of 12 volts.

    Can a regulator be used to convert the 9.4 volts to 12? Which one?

    Hello Jimmie Rico,
    As your description, your problem is caused by that the solar system cannot provide enough power to drive the load, which makes the the load can only get 9.4V.
    A regulator cannot step up the power of the solar system.
    Could you please try to use another solar system with larger power to test if it can drive the load?
