Hello, I’ve purchased a Drok DC model 031, SKU 200139.  I plan to use this with a solar panel project I am working on and want to ensure I wire it correctly.  I have a 100W solar panel that will hook into a 8.5 amp solar charge controller (8.5 amp max load capacity, 14.2V cut-out, 13V cut-in)  This will charge a 12V battery (HR1234W B.B. Battery).  I then intend to hook the battery to a 300 Watt modified sine wave inverter.  So my intent with this Drok monitor is to measure the battery by using the 2 inner connections for DC +/- and then measure the load being drawn by the inverter with the 2 outer connections.

I’d like to know what gauge of wire you recommend for this monitor as it didn’t come with any wire?

And I want to confirm that I can cable the outer 2 load connections to the connectors on the inverter that will also have connections to draw from the battery.  I saw a few references to problems with inverters, so I wanted to confirm this wiring was ok.

    Hello Maureen,

Battery is as power supply and  inverter is load, is it right? You can hook it up as per our wiring diagram.

And please choose wire gauge according to  actual load current.

    Best regards.
