Hello. Is there a way to calibrate VAC8010F meter? For me it displays 1 amp drain when I have charger connected to the battery after the battery is fully charged. For this reason it will always show 0 AH remaining despite the fact that the battery is new and fully charged.

    Hello Instrument user,

Did you connect charger and battery as per charging diagram? If AH  is always zero, it should be discharging status.

AH only increase when charging. At discharging status, it keep decreasing until reach 0.

    Best regards.

I connected it correctly. It displays both charging and discharging but when I leave the charger connected the Ah goes to 0 when in fact the battery is full.

    Hello Instrument user,

Do you mean connect charger and battery as per charging diagram? And did you program OAH?

Would  you like to  show us how it is by video? In that way ,we can get more details and find solution quickly.

You can share  a video link here or send attachment to service@droking.com

    Best regards.

Hi, I connected it as diagram shows. In fact it is my second one, the first one did not have temperature sensor so I switched both the hall sensor, sender and the display to new one. I don’t recall the previous one having constant 1 amp draw so the error is in the device. When I connected I set the battery capacity and the remaining charge to 100% as the battery was full. The video would just show a -1 AMP draw from the battery when battery voltage is 13,8V which, according to lead-acid technology would not be possible with charger connected correctly to the load side.

    Hello

To confirm the problem quickly, we hope to get more details by video. Would you like to show all of issue you have?

And negative current doesn’t mean  it is discharging current.  May I know if the  current follws the arrow on current transformer?

    Best regards,

Hi, yes the current follows the arrow. Here is a picture of the meter when battery is fully charged and charger is connected. There are 2 screws on the hall sensor, I was originally wondering if I could adjust them so it would display 0 in this case. I know some meters have the possibility to calibrate- like shown in minute 3 in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSg6XbM6cS0 but my meter does not enter this menu.

    Hello,

We  are sorry we can’t check problem from this picture. Actually, we hope to check how it works by video.

    Here are few questions:

    1. If the direction of  load current follows the arrow on current transformer, it should be positive current.  However it is negative current. Would you like to draw a simple diagram to show your connection?

2.You mentioned AH goes to 0 when charger is connected. How it is before connecting charger, can it show AH?

    3.  Did you set the BPC parameter  successfully? If the right side is not the same as the left side, actually setting is not successfully.

    4. Did you try check current with other meter? Is it is 0 A?

    Hi!

    1. The meter is connected as it should be as shown in user manual. When charging it displays charging voltage and amp, problem begins when it is full and the charger remains connected – in that case the battery draw should not happen.

    2. It shows AH while it is getting charged, afdter it is fully charged the meter error starts to count it to 0.

    3. I can set the BPC correctly after removing power shortly to the meter and it displays Ah for few days.

    5. Current meter shows 0.

    Hello,

I am also interested in calibration of vac8010f, mine shows zero current when my other meters in the circuit show up to 0.6 amp draw, then as current increases my meters show draw of2 amps but the 8010 shows 2.7amps so something is wrong.

how do I enter calibration menu on 8010 ??

the circuits are connected correctly, the other meters use 100A shunts, versus 8010 using the Hall effect sensor

    Hi,

If there is larger error, please refer to below calibration. You need an adjustable power supply and electronic load.

The adjustable power supply voltage is adjusted to 12V, and the current is 11A.

Click the up button to move the cursor  to the NCP position. then hold the OK button (the middle button) to enter the calibration interface, release the OK button after entering the calibration interface.

Positive current calibration: 1.Click OK to switch to the +(0-100A) positive current calibration interface.

    2. Turn on the electronic load and adjust the current reading of the wireless meter and the current of the electronic load are both 8A;

Negative current calibration:1. Click OK to switch to the —000A negative current calibration interface, turn off the electronic load current (others remain unchanged), let the negative wire of the adjustable power supply pass through the Hall in reverse, turn on the electronic load current again, then  adjust the current reading of wireless meter  and the electronic load current are both 8A. After adjustment,  hold the OK button exit the calibration interface, then current calibration is completed.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

    thanks for this quick answer.
my issue now is in trying to understand the menu options I have reset the system with RST option but the meter no longer measures any voltage.
I have checked that voltage is arriving to the base and it is at 41v but nothing shows on the display.
    no volts and no current.
Do you have any idea how to get the meter to measure again ?

    Hi Simon Goring,

There is no RST option. Do you mean RET? It can only reset WH and running time.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

i was checking all the options trying to find the calibration menu before your reply of how to do it.  It may have been RET or I may have mixed something else up.
Now it appears the base and the display are not linked correctly. Wifi indicator is not lit brightly.
I tried to set the SFH and FCH to the same channel, I tried several different numbers, but none seem to link the two units together again.
What was the default setting, as the base is probably on that as the wifi icon appears dim all the time after a brief period when it is powered on.
or Is there a way to “factory reset” the 8010f so I can start from a fixed base?

    regards

    Simon
