    Hello Thomas Poulin,

    Thanks for writing in.

Do you mean meter drawing more current from motor on an uphill grade ? The meter is not a load, it should not draw current. We think it should be that motor draws more current from battery, is it right?

Could you please tell us the max load current? You mention voltage spikes, how large it is?

And  does the negative of battery goes through the shunt then connected to meter negative?

    Best regards.

I have a 200141 meter. The voltmeter seems to be very accurate but the current measure is very inaccurate. It reads about twice the actual current draw.

Also, when I long press the button, I get a “Set” screen with blinking numbers. This is not described in the manual. What does this do?

    Hello Mark,

    Thanks for writing in.

We just make insturction for it, please kindly find more details here. 200141

If the reading is not accurate, you may try below calibration:
    1. Connecting power supply (20V/10A), shunt and load.
    2. Connecting the two calibrating spots (Open the back cover, then you will find two holes which
marked by “W” on the edge of board)
    3. Turn on the power supply.
    4. When the screen display changed from “CAL—“ into” —PASS”, that means the calibration is
    successful.

    Best regards.

Hello—my 200141 is installed and the voltage is off by about .15 volts.

Do I understand correctly that I must apply a 20v 10A load and then short the “W” terminals on the back of the unit behind the cover?

Also, what is the purpose of the settings menu after you hold the button for long enough? Seems you can change some numbers but what does this do?

    thanks!

    Hello Josh S,

You must connect  exactly 20v/10A, or calibartion is not successful. Button is for voltage alarm value setting , current range selection.

Model # 200141 trying to calibrate (currently reads 32vdc when sampling 20.0; but zero amps when sampling 10A) using procedure per Reply#33680.  Screen shows 20.v and 10A during calibration.

goes Cal—>-err. And of course calibration isn’t saved.

    any suggestions?

    Hello Brian Edey,

Did you short the calibrating spots correctly?  Is it possible for you to show the operation by video?

    Best regards.
