    When you hook battery to the output terminal, the battery is being charged. Is it right?
    The above situation we mention is only for charging battery, not include other situation.
    Would you please try to connect it to other load instead of battery? Please let us know if it is the same issue.

    Would you please tell us how large the output current is?
    We think it may be caused by large charging current.
    This item doesn’t have constant current mode, so the output current depend on load. When a battery has run out, there is a large voltage difference between battery and charging power. That will result in large charging current and it is easy to damage battery or converter.
    Though many people choose this way to charging battery, we always suggest the safest method is to use a converter with constant current and constant voltage.
    Is it that case?

    Vout= (R1+R2)/R2*0.6. Therefore you just need to modify R1 and R2, the rest of resistors don’t need to be changed.
