    Hello paul jozef,

    090646 is a boost converter. Only boost mode is avilable.  If you want to step down voltage from 6v to 5v, we are sorry it can’t do that.

    And identify circuit can’t be changed directly by user.  We need  to have  manufacturer to make custom item.

    Does the item power off completely  or only output is off?

    Output is indeed turned off automatically if there operation temperature is over high. Have you cooled it down?

    For custom setting, please program  menu “3–  ” directly.  You just need to set the minimum voltage and maximum voltage for your battery. Please refer to this instruction. For any more questions, please let us know.

    When you connect  power supply to GND and Vext ports, and jumper cap is at “3W ” side, that is  for powering item only.  VIN is connected to measured voltage.

    That is a boost converter only. It can’t step down voltage.

    Sorry, we just found there is a mistake. It doesn’t  support USB 3.0 fast charging protocol.  USB 3.0 is new power delivery protocol, our item are not update yet.

    This item doesn’t support USB 3.0 fast charging protocol.

    And please kindly notice USB output voltage is not  fixed 5v. It is the same as that on screw terminal. So you need to confirm output voltage before connecting USB device.

    If voltaga reading is not accurate, you can calibrate voltage. Or please ignore menu#5.

    Both menu 1 and menu 3 are for battery specification setting.  If you progarm menu 1, please don’t program menu 3.

    Ther are some fixed options in menu 1. If you can’t find suitable battery type, just program menu 3. You need to set minimum voltage and maximum voltage for  battery.

    Do you mean connect  2-3solar panels in parallel as input source and  2-3 inveters is connected to converter output？

    Did you confirm how large the input voltage and input current in that case？
