Thanks for writing in.
Do you mean you want to change 100A shunt for a 5A shunt?
This meter can’t be used with 5A shunt. We suggest you should change a suitable meter.
For any more questions, please feel free to let us know.
Best regards.in reply to: PZEM-051 question #20383Hello Ken Sowards,
Thanks for writing in.
Would you please tell us what the problem is?
In order not to damage the meter, DC power – should go through the shunt to connect the meter -.
Best regards.in reply to: Voltage variation ?? #20377Hello,
Thanks for writing in.
Have you tried to test it without load? If not, is it convenient for you to test it again and tell us how it is without load?
Best regards.in reply to: SKU 200123 KWH Meter #20376Hello John Williams,
Thanks for writing in.
Would you please tell us know what kind of load do you connect? There are three kinds of power: Active power(P), Apparent power(S) ,Reactive power(Q)
The power we mention here is Active power.
For example:
The computational formula for Apparent power: S= U*I
The computational formula for Active power : P=U*I*cosφ(cosφ is power factor)As different load have different power factor, the current and active power is also different.
For example, the cosφfor pure resistive load is near 1, so the Active power is almost near U*I ;
The cosφfor inductive load and capacitive load is between 0-1, so the Active power is less than U*I.You can try to measure the power factor of load with multimeter.
For any more questions, just let us know.
