    Dear clark, yes, the meter was broken but the shunt is still okay. With using a separate power supply to power the meter, you can connect the shunt between the positive and the load.

    Hi, sorry for the delay. If the leds come on as zeros, display “0”, this should be wired incorrectly. if the gauge display “1”, it should be overrange, more than 10A, the measurement range of the gauge is 10A.
    If you can please have the THIN black wire vacant, do not connect to anything, just connect the black wire to the battery’s negative lead and use the yellow wire as the (new) negative lead (wiring the meter in series).

    Hello, sorry for the delay. As the below image, the two spots next to “10-32v” “8-16v” mark on yellow circle, just connect the two spots to short circuit.

    Hi, you got this usb voltage converter, right? Sorry for the misunderstanding,not the “wire”, There are many dark blue lines for circuit conductive on the PCB board, you just need to knife to cut the line which the red arrow points to. When you cut off it, the circuit connect to the “button” will be cut off.

    Hi clark, if you use a common power supply to power the meter and measured device, the meter was burnt. Usually the shunt need to series connected between negative of the power supply and the load to avoid being burnt when using a common power supply. So we recommend you to a separate, independent, isolated power supply.

    Hi, did you get any readings when you didn’t extend the signal wires, and pleas make sure the current direction is from red wire to black wire. If the current direction is wrong then you cannot get any readings.
